In connection with World Environment Day MES Campus School organised a
special assembly with the theme ‘Land restoration,desertification and drought resilience’.Dr.Abdul Jabar.P.K,Scientist,Kerala Agricultural University,Tavanur was the Chief Guest. He highlighted the importance of saving environment for the future generation, reducing the screen time by spending time with nature and minimising the food wastage. He distributed vegetable seeds to IV and V classes and plant cuttings (Bhookrishna -special variety of sweet potato) to other classes. The school principal raised the awareness to protect the environment and proper disposal of plastic waste. The Chief Guest planted a sapling in our school garden. Students prepared posters and slogans to highlight the importance of this day with the guidance given by School Parliament members.
