ABACUS EXHIBITION - MES

ABACUS EXHIBITION

An Exhibition was conducted by Abacus Club (Computer Science and Mathematics Department) on 9 th January 2020. It was arranged in Mathematics Lab and Computer Lab. Abacus expo was inaugurated by Mrs. Jameela, HOD Mathematics, MES Engineering College, Kuttippuram.  All the models, presentations (PPTs, website, webpages, online Quiz) charts prepared by students were exhibited. The evolution of mobile phones was explained with a big collection of all versions of mobile phones. Different types of PCs and their assembling was also demonstrated by the students. 21 st century technological development was also demonstrated using apps and videos. Academic Projects developed by class XII Computer Science students were also exhibited.

In Mathematics lab still models, showing mathematics in daily life, geometry, different mathematical patterns, symmetry etc were exhibited. Students explained different mathematical concepts with the help of working models. Teachers and students arranged  Mathematical game zone to check their IQ and problem solving skills. Two students demonstrated Abacus machine. A separate quiz zone was also arranged by the students. Charts showing different mathematical concepts were also exhibited.

All students from class IV to XII visited the expo and they shared their feedback. Chief Guest shared that, this expo helped the students to prove their skill and ability in the field of Mathematics and Computer Science.
