The Investiture Ceremony of the School Parliament was held with grandeur on 14th July 2025 at 10:30 am in the school assembly area . The ceremony marked the official induction of the newly elected student leaders into their respective roles. The event commenced with a welcome speech delivered by former Head Boy Master Devaduth S. Krishna, setting the tone for the occasion. The Presidential Address was then delivered by Principal Mrs. Sunita Nair, who highlighted the significance of leadership, discipline, and student participation in democratic processes. The gathering was honoured by the presence of two distinguished guests. Mr. Giri, Sub Inspector of Police, addressed the students with an inspiring message about responsibility, honesty, and the importance of being a law-abiding citizen. He encouraged the young leaders to lead by example and stand up for what is right. Following him, Mr. Sivadasan, Vice President of Thavanur Grama Panchayat, delivered a motivating speech on the value of democratic participation and leadership at a young age. He appreciated the school’s efforts in nurturing future citizens through structured student elections. The programme also included a felicitation speech by Mr. T.V. Ali, School Joint Secretary, who expressed his pride in the student leaders and commended the school’s dedication to holistic development.
The highlight of the day was the badge distribution ceremony, where the leaders were formally entrusted with their responsibilities:
1. School Leader – Miss Naifa K.T.
2. Deputy Leader – Miss Devananda Shaji
3. Fine Arts Secretary – Miss Aysha Hawazin
4. Student Editor – Miss Ashifa Razan T.A
5. General Captain – Miss Saja Siraj
6. House Captains – all four houses
7. Class Representatives – 20 students from various classes
The Oath of Office was administered by Principal Mrs. Sunita Nair. School Leader Naifa K.T. led the School Parliament members in taking the solemn oath, followed by a separate oath by the House Captains, affirming their dedication to upholding the values of the institution. The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Vice Principal Mrs. Bindu K.M., expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, staff, parents, and students for their presence and support. The programme came to an end with the National Anthem sung by the School Choir, filling the atmosphere with patriotic flavour and pride.
